In the midst of indications pointing to a decrease in transaction activity on Shibarium, the layer-2 blockchain associated with the Shiba Inu (SHIB) meme coin, a member of the SHIB ecosystem shared instructions on how to purchase non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on Shibarium via X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. Having been introduced in August of the previous year, Shibarium has recently redirected its attention toward metaverse, gaming, and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. This shift underscores the considerable evolution of the Shiba Inu ecosystem from its initial status as a meme coin.
Shiba Inu’s Shibarium Unveiled: A Rising Force in the NFT Realm
Moreover, Shibarium, the platform associated with Shiba Inu, hosts a diverse range of NFTs, showcasing the network’s practical applications. Notable among the NFT collections introduced on Shibarium are ColonelCoup and Shib Dream NFT.
Amidst the growing excitement surrounding NFTs on Shibarium, a member of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, known as “Lucie” on the platform X, has disseminated a detailed guide on the social media channel. In this guide, Lucie explains the step-by-step process for Shiba Inu community members to acquire these digital assets.
Per Lucie’s instructions, individuals interested in purchasing Shibarium NFTs should initially ensure they have Ethereum (ETH) in their wallets, along with any Shiba Inu ecosystem assets like SHIB, BONE, or LEASH. The subsequent step involves integrating the Shibarium network into their Web3 crypto wallet using the wallet’s browser extension.
While guiding through the process, Lucie specifically mentioned BONE ShibaSwap (BONE) as the recommended digital asset, although the steps remain consistent for alternative Shiba Inu ecosystem assets. Once the network is added, users must bridge their BONE tokens, a process achievable by visiting the Shibarium Staking platform. Here, various Shibarium-based NFT marketplaces, including Mantra Protocol, are available. Users can then choose an NFT of their preference and complete the purchase using BONE, with prices ranging from 10 to 10,000 BONE tokens for the available NFT collections on Shibarium.
Beyond providing the guide, Lucie commended Shibarium-based NFTs for their cost-effectiveness, citing minimal transaction fees as low as $0.01 per transaction. This endorsement comes amid a period of reduced trading activity on Shibarium, where the transaction count has decreased to $5.69 million from an average of 7 million over the past 30 days. This decline has consequently impacted the SHIB price, registering a nearly 9% decrease in the last seven days to $0.00000.
