Guns N’ Roses continue to pop up in the music headlines of late. It was only recently that KilltheMusic.net relayed Slash, the band’s legendary guitarist, teasing that a new album was in the works. In 2025, fans will be hoping that the new works drop and is possibly followed up by another tour, given how immensely popular their Not in This Lifetime… Tour was from 2016 to 2019.
Along with their iconic tracks and guitar riffs, the band has been able to remain relevant to this day by adapting to new mediums and movements. While not a part of the current line-up, former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum continues to get GNR in the headlines for his ambitions in combining music with Web3 and the NFT marketplace. Given the spread of GNR outings, delving into NFTs makes sense from one of the band’s alumni.

Considering that Guns N’ Roses were first signed to a record deal in 1986 but broke up in 1996/97 when Slash and Duff McKagan left, it’s quite impressive how much of an impact the band continues to have. Of course, a lot of the legacy around the band centers on Axl Rose, his antics, and how he carried on with the band, but there was always a demand for them to get back together.
Seeing this demand, while the band was dormant, the brand was still keen to expand and make the most of its fandom. Of course, their songs will be the primary carrier of the brand, but they can be used to enhance other GNR products.
This is the case in their official slot game. Bonus.net.nz has a list of all of the casinos they’ve reviewed and ranked them. At each of the top five sites with a five-out-of-five rating, you’ll find the Guns N’ Roses slot. It speaks to not only the quality of the game, but also its appeal. The Guns N’ Roses slot has essentially become one of the markers of a top-tier slot game library. Helping this is that the slot has a playlist featuring several of their true greatest hits and features based around the band’s biggest performers.
Expanding into Web3

Guns N’ Roses have been a part of online entertainment through the streaming of their music and their online slot for many years, and yet, another band member is looking to delve deeper into the future of the internet. Matt Sorum, who was the band’s drummer and originally left with Slash in 1997, has hailed himself as “the guy” who can establish a viable music NFT platform.
He’s approached the scene with his studio GoodNoise, which is also intended to act as his new music NFT label. It’ll all be under the umbrella label of Sthorm, which Sorum co-founded, that will bring together a grand range of the drummer’s friends to release unique digital goods.
Audio, art, collaborations, and other forms of content will all come through as NFTs. In his most recent comments, seen in an interview with PlamSpringsLife.com, Sorum said, “Incremental ownership of music and art is coming.” The platform has plenty of artists involved already, so there’s a chance for music NFTs to emerge soon.
Guns N’ Roses boast an enduring legacy in music and beyond. As entertainment and technology has evolved, so has the brand and its former members, from the official slot to the music NFTs project at GoodNoise.
